This years event will be hosted by Leading Edge Karate under the direction of Sensei Rob Wetmore. In addition to teaching a wonderful karate program,he is also a student of Judo.

Wetmore sensei is not responsible for any of the  content taught at the Hokushinkai Budofest and assumes no responsiblilty for the teachings of the guest instructors. Each instructor has designed their own curriculum for this event.

The location is easy to find and is seated in the large shopping center next to the famous Dorney Park  . There is plenty of Lodging and eating establishments nearby. We will soon post links to lodging that is both affordable and close by.

If attending a weapons seminar, please bring a practice weapon (bokken, wood knife, or wooden dowel/stick)

Special Guest Instructor this Year:

Brett Denison sensei-  and his Mizukan Dojo, have been formally recognized as the official shibucho (branch head) for the state of Colorado, for the Komei Juku and the Yamauchi-Ha Muso Jikiden Eishin-ryu Iaijutsu under Sekiguchi Komei sensei (21st Head of the Ryuha). As such he has been awarded a menkyo teaching licnese. Denison sensei also recieved a formal Japanese budo name of Sekiguchi Kyoshin ( ) from Sekiguchi Komei sensei during this years training in Colorado (October 2004).

Shihan Jose Juan Cruz- Representative of the Kokusai Budoin in Japan ( 6th Dan Karatedo) He will present a great seminars on traditional karatedo and okinawan kobudo.
